TEACHERS
Mr. Kris Hansen
Mr. Hansen received his Bachelor of Arts in Global History and World Literature while studying at McGill and Concordia Universities in Montreal. Deciding to pursue a career in teaching, he graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Acadia University near Halifax, Nova Scotia. After completing his studies, he set his sights on seeing the world. Planning to teach one year in Japan, but ending up staying for nearly four, Mr. Hansen has had the opportunity to visit many countries throughout Asia. Now living in Vancouver, he has joined the team at Century High School. Mr. Hansen has been teaching English, Communications, Social Studies and History. His main aspiration is to encourage students to become independent life-long learners. When he has spare time, Mr. Hansen likes reading, swimming, studying Japanese and is always trying to become a better cook.
Mr. Charles Wang
Mr. Wang finished his undergraduate education in Taiwan and received his Master’s degree at the University of Rochester in the United States. After that, he decided to come to Canada in 1989. Mr. Wang worked at the UBC physics department as a research engineer for almost three years. He has taught Physics, Math, and Calculus. Mr. Wang enjoys traveling, and natural sceneries. Of course, Mr. Wang likes to work with young people, too.
Mr. Trevor Williams
Mr. Williams earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Lethbridge in 1999. After graduation, he moved to Kobe, Japan where he taught ESL to a wide range of students. After traveling throughout Asia, Mr. Williams moved back to Canada and taught at both Vancouver International College and Global Village for five years before returning to the University of Lethbridge to complete his Bachelor of Education with Great Distinction. Mr. Williams currently teaches Social Studies, Economics, Geography and Art classes. He enjoys skiing, art and music, and cheering for his favorite hockey team, the Vancouver Canucks!
